Halloween Health and Safety Tips!

If you plan to take your children trick-or-treating in the Los Angeles, California, area, follow a few healthy and safety tips on Halloween to make sure your kids are safe. Representatives of Save-On Insurance Services remind you that you should not permit your kids to trick-or-treat alone.

Accompany your children on Halloween, or make arrangements for a trusted adult relative or friend to trick-or-treat with them. Keep your kids healthy by restricting the number of candy bars they eat on Halloween. Check candy and fresh fruits carefully to make sure they are free from razor blades or similar sharp objects. Do not allow your children to eat unwrapped pieces of candy.

Take a flashlight with you for enabling better night vision. Do not allow your kids to run from house to house. Stay on the main streets, and avoid entering alleys. Do not permit your children to walk in the streets. Even though you are not going to allow your kids to go trick-or-treating on Halloween by themselves, it is still wise to instruct them to avoid going anywhere with strangers.
