While reports of those signing up for the Affordable Care Act across the country have been spotty and in some cases, disappointing, a recent report in the L.A. Times says that is not the case in Los Angeles County. The paper states that recently released data from the state says that over 200,000 people have signed up for Obamacare in the county. The Times article says that puts L.A. County behind only the entire states of California, Florida, New York and Texas in terms of total enrollment.
California’s total enrollment has passed earlier estimates. Back in mid-February it had reached just over 825,000. There are some areas where the state is not performing so well. Riverside County for example, is said to be at only about 60% of projected sign-ups. Fresno and San Bernardino Counties are also falling behind.
